friday finds archives

a few fridays ago’s flickr finds

I am in love with this boy’s photos. His name is Colin Hill and I have a feeling I will be posting more of his work in the future.

One last thing: while I was looking through his shots, some of them had a very dream-like feel which immediately reminded me of the Wonder (where this blog’s name comes from, in fact) series by Anna Gaskall.

friday finds (on flickr): bergdorf installations

I’m currently working on an independent study for school involving store window display designs, and while searching for some inspiration, I found these (and a tonnn more) on flickr. They’re Bergdorf Goodman’s 2008 Holiday window displays in New York City. I wish I had known of these when I went to NYC last—I bet they’re even more epic in real life.

If only I had the resources and funding to do intricate installations like these. Actually, I’d love to have any resources right now. I’m still looking for a local business to work with, ugh.

I’m seriously trying to keep up with this friday finds thing. I always forget about it until the last minute, but I’m on track so far!

friday finds (on etsy)

One of my favorite prints, ever. Haha, I’m not sure why, though. Might have something to do with that adorable fawn.

Best friend (and occasional contributor) Beth is lucky enough to have a boyfriend who’s quite Etsy savvy and always seems to know just what to get her. This print was amoung the things she got from him for Christmas. Luckkky!

A few more finds inside here:  (more…)
