I have such a thing for turf rugs. I can’t tell if this is sod or fake? It looks rather real, but really short at the same time…so I’m not sure. The cute bunny and gloss cabinets make the picture even better.

From the Showtime House that was decorated based on 5 hit tv shows, these are shots of Amy Lau’s murder scene dining room inspired by Dexter. Sure, it’s a little gross, but the array of test tubes filled with “blood” that is staggered in acrylic stands is gorgeous…in a serial killer sort of way. I love it. The blood splatterd canvas and candles are …cute… also.

From what I’ve seen, there have been four lines shown. In order from top to bottom: Design, Youthful, Nature, and Classic. I’m particularly interested in the top three. The navy blue doesn’t sit so well with me, but I’m sure it’ll grow.

I’m hoping the prices stay incredibly reasonable (as they are for their clothes and accessories)!

Okay, is it just me or has Martha become incredibly chic in her designing ever since prison. I’ll admit, her stuff has always been classy and attractive, but from what I remember as a child, most of her stuff was incredibly traditional and country. (?) I always vowed never to fall for the Martha craze that so many mothers did in the nineties, but for the past few years, I can easily say that I have been quite a fan.

My favorite things of hers are her Christmas/holiday pieces. The wrapping paper is incredibly cheap compared to stuff at Target or other stores, plus it’s also very thick and high quality (or at least I think so). For the past three or for years, I’ve been stalking the aisles of Kmart before and after Christmas to snatch up cute wrapping paper, but this year I really took interest in her decorations. I’m not sure if she has always had different “series” of holiday decorations, but I think I love them all. The twilight and woodland series are my favorite, though. The warm, deep purples and golds of twilight are sooo luxurious looking, and the little birds of woodland are right down my alley. (I have a ridiculous obsession this year with birds as decorations for some reason).

Anywho, after lurking through her website recently, I found these which I would definitely classify as inspirational: Pictures from Marthas homes/projects.

As much as I despise the beige walls of our house, these cozy and neutral cream colors are earning my trust.

What is with her and hanging pots galore above the kitchen island? I love it just as much as I hate it—it’s weird.

Look how perfectly organized everything is. I bet she keeps it like that every single day and not one pipecleaner is out of place. I want to raid her craft room and go nuts. I guarantee it will not look the same after I’ve been in it, though.

Even her basement if gorgeous, what the heck.

I really just want to take a tour of all her homes. I bet they’re even more epic in real life. You hear that, M? I’m coming over and I’m bringing my specialty dish for dinner. Puppychow.

BoConcept. white, grey, black, wood. Ahhh, neutral “urban” modern design at its best. A house made entirely of furniture from this place would probably feel like a hermetically sealed space station, but I think a lot of what they have going on looks great.

I had forgotten about Bo for a while—the last time even it even crossed my mind was when I visited the Philadelphia store with some friends. The setups were really beautiful and not quite so sterile looking as the pictures make them out to be.

One thing I’d like to see more of in these photos, is a pop of color. Some of them have a small accent or two (like the yellow vases below), but I think some of these might be a little too monotone for even myself. (WHAT.)

A bunch more photos in here:

I’d like to know if anyone’s house actually looks like this.

Hello, expensive Malm! Is that a $200 Lack wall shelf?

I especially love this bed. I’m slowly warming up to upholstered bedframes. The giant bulky ones at Ikea…not so much. Okay, maybe I do like you, Grimen.

One of my favorite prints, ever. Haha, I’m not sure why, though. Might have something to do with that adorable fawn.

Best friend (and occasional contributor) Beth is lucky enough to have a boyfriend who’s quite Etsy savvy and always seems to know just what to get her. This print was amoung the things she got from him for Christmas. Luckkky!

A few more finds inside here:

A little on the morbid side, I’d say? I dont know why, but something about this draws me to it.

Straight up adorable screen-printed fabrics. The larger pattern particularly caught my eye. I believe they come in other colors too (this just happens to be one of my favorite).

No matter what design phase I go through, whether it be ultra-modern, vintage, or antique chic, I always end up coming back to Ikea. Probably because it’s a nice mix (well, usually) of all of the above. Here are just a few inspiration pictures I’ve had saved to my computer for sometime now.

Okay. White kitchen, grey walls, tile backsplash, green plants…SOLD. Seriously, this sort of style/scheme is probably what would make up my dream kitchen. Maybe.

Ever since the 2007 catalog came out, I have been obsessed with this model home (see past the jump for the kitchen and kids room that also go in this house). It’s the one in the first few spreads of the catalog. The entire house is mostly neutral colors and very cozy looking. You really have no idea how much i want to live in it.

AHHHHHHH. Abstrakt red, how i love your glossy, candy-like door panels. I would kill for a modern red kitchen like this, but I’m not sure how long I’d like it. I have a tendency to constantly change my mind, so I’m not sure how a bold move like this would work.

Once again, with the white, birch, grey, and green plants. Seriously probably one of my most favorite coordinations. With grey/white/neutral furniture, changing a rooms mood is as easy as changing the color of the curtains/towels/pillows/duvet/whatever.

Read the rest after the jump:

Although I was never one for darker wood furniture (sans black), after finding a large Besta Holmbo door in as-is for a few dollars (with only one tiny knick in it), I fell in love. That beautiful, glossy faux bois panel is still under my bed waiting to be resurrected and made into a coffee table or something, it’s just a matter of time.

Other than that god-awful wicker headboard, I love this room. Sure, it’s a little on the feminine side, but I still love it. The plum color works sooooo well with the lime, dark floors, and light yellow walls.

Once again, other than those wicker baskets on the right, I love this kitchen. Realistically, I can’t imagine ever living in a house with all concrete walls, but it sure looks beautiful in this scene.

The kids room in the model house I mentioned earlier. Would I have ever killed for a room like this when I was a kid. Actually, I probably still would now. Alot of inspiration for my bedroom now came from this picture. Don’t worry, I don’t have rocking horses and bunk beds, although I do have a chalkboard wall.

One of the few instances that I like oak/mid-brown furniture. I think most of my hatred towards that color comes from the fact that my entire house (except for my room) has oak furniture and stained wood trim (UGH).

The kitchen to the mentioned model house. Once again, light wood, neuetral colors, green plants…ahhhh I want this in my house.

If it weren’t for the price, I might have used Anes when revamping my room. I love the curved edges and white/birch combination. In the Conshohocken Ikea, they’ve had a few room setups over the years that mimic this style and it looks just as good in person as in the picture.

Holy wardrobes, Batman! A large one in the bedroom, and then a whole room of them next door? How many clothes does this person have??? Cute room, either way. Although, I’m not fond of darker wall colors (other than black, of course) and this red makes me a little uncomfortable. As long as it’s kept well-lit, I suppose I’d be a happy camper.

A little bland, but I love birch. I can only imagine how calming and peaceful this room feels—almost zen-like. If only I could keep my bed that neatly made.

Ahhh, white on white on white…with yellow! Love its pseudo-country style, and bright feeling. I’m pretty sure I want to wake up in this room to find a fresh blanket of snow outside.

My parents have, I guess what you would call a country/traditional taste. This is something like what I’ve been pitching to them when they talk about remodeling the kitchen. But it’s frustrating to talk to them about decorating—they hate white kitchens or any white furniture, really. You know what? I don’t want to hear you whining anymore that the kitchen feels dark and dingy. You’re the ones who put dark, dark wood cabinets in with beige walls and beige appliances. Ugh, that just got me started on the b word. BEIGE. Why must my parents love it? It just looks like dirty white! I just don’t understand.

Okay, I think that was just about the longest post in history (haha, jaykay! I know there are longer). My eyes are tired, and I have a full day of working tomorrow :< I should’ve requested off to go the-day-after-christmas shopping. Ugh.

Okay. If I remember correctly, I found this on Bo Bedre (some of these other ones might be there also, I forget X_X) and I’m pretty much obsessed with it. I don’t know much else to say.

Who knows where this came from, I just know it satisfies my fetish of green, black, and white.

I’m usually not one for creams and tans, but these make me love it almost as much as white now.

More Scandinavian white rooms with pops of color. The nursery on the right is spot on. Is that a malm dresser I see?
